Tucson water-wise landscape studio
Desert Yards Landscaping
Elegant, low-water landscapes for homes that need shade, structure, texture, and a little bit of desert drama without the high-maintenance lawn.
Short description
Southwestern yards with restraint, rhythm, and real shade.
Desert Yards Landscaping is a fictional boutique crew that reworks tired gravel lots, thirsty turf, and awkward side yards into calm outdoor rooms. The look is regional and practical: decomposed granite, sculptural agave, handmade tile, steel edging, pavers, mesquite shade, and lighting that makes the yard useful after sunset.
Before and after
Three yard transformations, one slider.
Drag the handle across each project image, then move through the carousel to compare how texture, shade, and planting change the feel of the property.
Fake bio
Marisol Vega, founder and lead designer.
Marisol is a fictional landscape designer raised between Tucson and Las Cruces. After years of replacing thirsty lawns with shade-forward xeriscapes, she started Desert Yards to make practical desert planting feel composed, personal, and quietly refined.
Her crew keeps the process direct: walk the site, map the sun, simplify the irrigation, choose plants that belong here, and build a yard that looks better as it settles in.
